The Only Dedicated Tea Awards in the UK
The Leafies celebrate outstanding tea, tea people and tea organisations from across the world. Launched by the UK Tea Academy in 2022 in collaboration with Fortnum & Mason, The Leafies promote excellence and shared practice within the international tea industry. Winning an award at The Leafies is the ultimate mark of prestige. Producers achieve global exposure and some teas are selected by Fortnum & Mason for their Rare Tea Counter at the flagship store in London.

THE DEADLINE FOR ONLINE TEA ENTRIES is now Thursday 1st October. You still have time to do submit an online entry if you can get your teas to the UK before 9 Oct 2026.
Whether you are a producer, retailer, tea business or hospitality venue, we invite you to take part. Every tea entered will be blind tasted by an international panel of expert judges.
The Special Awards recognise the people and organisations going further: supporting communities, caring for the environment, developing new ideas and helping to shape the future of tea.
It is free to nominate your own organisation, or put forward a producer, supplier, colleague or partner whose work deserves wider recognition.

The Leafies Awards and Winners’ Tasting Event
Every year we host an event with awards and tastings to celebrate the winning teas at a central London location. This highlights video is from Dartmouth House in Mayfair, London.
This year’s event for The Leafies 2026 will be held at Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly, London on 22nd and 23rd January 2027.
Friday 22nd January is the Awards Celebration and Winners’ Tasting Event for ticketed guests.
Saturday 23rd January is a tasting of the winning teas which is open to all.
